My pregnancy and birth wasn't at all what I had dreamed of.
Nobody could have prepared me for; weekly appointments, laser ablation surgery, my waters breaking at 24 weeks or giving birth at 27 weeks!
Like I said nothing at ALL what I had dreamed of.
.Unfortunately, it didn't stop there, we spent 4+ months on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
And with one of my twins being discharged at 3 months and both receiving care from two different hospitals, it was some time before we were able to begin to have a sense of 'normalcy' in our lives.
So if you're navigating a challenging pregnancy, have had a traumatic birth, difficult postpartum and NICU trauma - I've been there.
